Product Overview
BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino acid peptide (Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val) derived from a protective protein found in human gastric juice known as Body Protection Compound. Unlike the native protein, BPC-157 is stable in gastric acid and does not require carrier proteins for structural integrity. It has no known homology to any other biologically active peptide.

Mechanism of Action
BPC-157 interacts with the nitric oxide (NO) system, modulating both constitutive (eNOS) and inducible (iNOS) nitric oxide synthase activity in a context-dependent manner. It upregulates growth factor receptor expression, including VEGFR2 (mediating angiogenic signaling via the VEGF-VEGFR2-Akt-eNOS pathway) and FGFR1. BPC-157 also activates the JAK-2/STAT-3 and ERK/MAPK signaling cascades, which regulate cellular proliferation and survival gene transcription. Additionally, it modulates the dopaminergic and serotonergic systems by interacting with D2 receptor and 5-HT transporter pathways, and influences the FAK-paxillin pathway involved in cytoskeletal organization and cell migration.
